In September 2006 the VELIA General Assembly elected a new board . The Lebanese community was brought together once again with the events and activities that followed.
VELIA gradually progressed in its quest for fun and enjoyable events such as cultural, social, sporting, national and traditional holidays to bring the communities together.

Events such as sports days, Lebanese National holidays, Ramadan Iftar dinner, Gala dance dinner, receptions in honor of Belgian & Lebanese ambassadors as well as a VELIA delegation visiting the UN Belgian Contingent in camp Belufil in Lebanon; were all part of VELIA’s accomplished aspirations.
